Victorian 14k/Sterling Diamond + Sapphire Starburst Pin
A spectacular diamond starburst pin/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Set in 14k yellow gold and topped in patinaed sterling silver, this beautifully contoured starburst is comprised of a central Old Cushion Cut sapphire and 35 Rose Cut diamonds. The sapphire emits a deep blue hue and weighs approximately 0.70ct. The diamonds have an approximate total weight of 0.90ctw, sparkling with every turn of the light. A removable pin clasp and a hidden hinged bail allow the piece to be worn as either a pendant or a pin. This breathtaking starburst would be a wonderful addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant measures slightly more than 1 1/2” in diameter and about 9/32" at its deepest point excluding the pin finding.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting. The sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact. The pin clasp and hinged bail are secure and in good working condition.
