Estate Silver Gilt Opal + Diamond Fly Pin
A beautiful unique Estate pin! Crafted in silver gilt, the pin is in the shape of a detailed fly. Two opal cabochons emit an incredible rainbow, prong-set on the thorax and abdomen. Rose Cut diamonds glitter as they grace the body and the articulated wings, catching the light as the veined wings flutter. Small sapphire cabochons represent the eyes, and detailed silver gilt legs complete the design. The fly is secured by a simple pin and c-clasp. This wonderful pin makes a whimsical statement and would be a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The fly pin measure approximately 1 1/8" tall and slightly less than 1/2" deep. When the wings are extended, the pins measure 1 11/16" wide. At rest, they are 1 1/4" wide.
Condition: The pin is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver gilt setting. The opals and diamonds are all intact and securely set. The wings move smoothly. The pin, c-clasp, and antennae are secure and in good working condition.
