Victorian Silver Bohemian Garnet Wide Bracelet
Bohemian garnet jewelry dates back to the 19th century. During this time, garnets were one of the most popular types of stones used in jewelry production. The garnets were often placed close together in an effort to produce a more pronounced color and brightness than when they were set singularly. The bracelet is hinged and fastens with a secure pin clasp on the side, where a safety chain provides added security. Condition: The bracelet is in very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or garnet stones, which are intact and securely set. The pin clasp and safety chain are both secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the setting, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
