A bold necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This necklace is comprised of large gold-filled rolo links, which are doubled to create a thicker, sturdier chain. One end of the chain features a large, three-dimensional griffin-motif extension. The griffin is adorned with intricate engravings, which bring the creature to life! The eyes of the creature are represented by 2 bezel-set garnets. The other end of the chain features an oblong link which features a ribbed-design, and subtle engravings. A watch swivel clasp is looped through the mouth of the griffin, which allows the piece to open and close securely.
