An exquisite pair of Italian micro mosaic earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, each earring begins with a circular surmount, which features a blooming flower-motif cutout design. The earrings then feature a thin twisted wire connector, which leads to a large circular disc. The front surface of each disc features a highly-intricate micro mosaic image of a fly. The fly features vivid green, gold, red, and real hues, which wonderfully complements the yellow gold setting. The flies are surrounded by a border comprised of small three-dimensional balls, and additional twisting wirework. The earrings are completed by simple earring wires.
