Art Deco Platinum Jade, Diamond, Emerald, and Enamel Disc Earrings
Fabulous jade disc earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in platinum, each earring begins with an emerald surmount. The darling emeralds rest within bezel settings, and display a marvelous green hue. The earrings then feature a long, thin component which is decorated with alternating sections of small single cut diamonds and black enameling. All of the diamonds are held within bead settings. The highly-intricate earrings then progress to three, horizontal components, which also alternate between black enameling and a diamond-encrusted link. The earrings then feature a large, circular piece of jade, which features marvelous white marbling. The jade disc is smooth and simple, and wonderfully complements the emerald surmounts. The disc is bordered on the bottom by a band of black enameling. Five small leaf-shaped links dangle from the black enamel component, and are decorated with black enameling and small single cut diamonds. The earrings are completed by simple posts and friction backs. A substantial and colorful pair, these earrings would be perfect for a special event, and would make lovely addition to any jade-jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 3/4" long. The widest part of the earrings measure 1".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the jade discs. All of the diamonds, emeralds, and enameled details are intact. The posts and friction backs are secure and in working order.
